| SYNOPSIS |
| The rise and fall of a corrupt soccer referee is intertwined with the story of two teams of the Sardinian third category, its lowest level: the Atletico Pabarile, the weakest of the entire division, and Montecrastu, whose leader is Brai, a fazendero and a landowner used to harass the farmers of Pabarile. When the young immigrant Matzutzi is back in town, the fate of the two teams are reversed: with his soccer prowess, Matzutzi allows the Pabarile to win every match. |
